just another day

just another day

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

love doesn't take a holiday

"
Holiday Mondays
and sometimes Sundays
come and go
in the blink of an eye.
but somehow,
you remain.

through
fire and rain
broken bones
twisted hearts,
tears,
and me --

just another day

another bruise,
another scar,
another hurdle
you're still here,
and so am I.

for this,
I am thankful.
this day
and all the
afters

to come.

I agree my friend. Each new day is a opportunity fr us. I try to keep positive face for the children. I work retail as a manager. No holiday for retail. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Thank you for understanding. :)
We don't want to forget certain things. We want to hold them sacred. On any day...even if it is just another day. Lots of emotion packed in this one, KL. Lydi**

Thanks a lot for visiting.:)
A time to truly give thanks, both for what we have and for what we no longer have, as well as the millions of fragments in between. Each new day is more lessons learned on what to be truly grateful for. Inspiring words KL.

Thank you, I love that.:)
Holidays can be hard because memories flood back but they can also create a strong bond between two people who realize their good fortune. They have each other.

Love surely never takes a holiday... And life is still a beautiful journey each and everyday, combined with pain and peace, and as long as we are here our gratitude will take us through... a beautiful write... Love finds wings with appreciation of life...

Thank you. I really do appreciate your stopping by.
I have been hearing the song "fire & rain" lately, which makes me want to use that line in a poem . . . it's one of the most expressive phrases ever written. I like the way your message is written in an everyday tone. Altho you name some of the ups & downs of everyday life, it isn't a statement filled with drama. Instead it's just the simple appreciation of steady acceptance, which we all long for in life (((HUGS))) One of your best expressions of the comfort in your present loving situation.

I am honoured. I know you prefer a rhyme.:) But yes, sometimes simple is best. :)
