just another day

just another day

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

love doesn't take a holiday

"
Holiday Mondays
and sometimes Sundays
come and go
in the blink of an eye.
but somehow,
you remain.

through
fire and rain
broken bones
twisted hearts,
tears,
and me --

just another day

another bruise,
another scar,
another hurdle
you're still here,
and so am I.

for this,
I am thankful.
this day
and all the
afters

to come.

Each day should be another Thanksgiving.

Yes, it should. thank you.
I liked that I know the reference to thanksgiving, but regardless this piece is broader than that. Perseverance.

Thank you so much. :)
it's wonderful to have found a love that's true and real isn't it KL... they look and see you, all of you, the nooks and crannies of hard life, the demons and nightmares of past mistakes and still want to hold you, whisper in your ear, walk aside you with feeling and see you smile... indeed it is!!! glad to have read your poem KL as it allows me to remember...

Yes, it is, thank you for reading and reviewing.
It's that normal everyday humdrum existence that make all the difference, if they stick around for that, you know you've got something/someone special.

Great song too btw.

Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
and those who really love us aren't fleeting like the time that passes so quickly on sundays and holidays.

good piece, and had me humming Paul McCartney's "another day"

"it's just another day---doo doo doo doo----"
