Hostage

Hostage

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

ah, whatevs

"
Hostage --
to lies
she is
paralysed

She dreams
no more
to cross the border
into
the land of the free ...

Hostage --
all hail
the king
he is

the ruler
of everything
she cannot
see.

sometimes we are bound by things in life, or life itself and it feels as though we are trapped.

You are welcome dear Lyn.
Beautiful poem. It wonderfully describes the mental state of a person who has no freedom of speech and thinking in some words but as it sometimes said that wise things are often short but powerful.

Thank you. The state of the world sometimes feels very personal
I am not going to comment on your poem Lyn, not because I don't like it, as I like it a lot... but because what I want to say would take many many words and I would get even more angry at the inhumanity of what his program is... but the one thing I will say is, we cannot allow ourselves to become 'paralysed", but should find the ways to stop this from proceeding even further.... and this in every country...

Thank you I appreciate it
Your poem is so true-to-life, it makes me sad. As a fighter, myself, it's hard to imagine becoming so beaten down & dispirited that a person would feel "paralyzed" -- that word is part of the reason this poem really haunts me (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

There are some bent on oppressing -- that is the word for me as well - paralysed
