Washed Away

Washed Away

A Poem by LetMeLoveYou
"

This piece was inspired by my English teacher in 10th grade. He helped me open my eyes to different ways to write and I decided to give it a shot.

"
Standing outside
The rain begins to pour.
The droplets fall gently.

As they fall on my body
And make their way
To the ground.

They wash away my pain,
All my skins impurities,
Traced by every single drop.

The dirt and pain from
Everyday life
Washed away,
With the rain.

The rain leaves me
Clean of body,
Mind, and
Spirit.
Happy and renewed.

At peace and prepared
To be me
Feeling whole again.
