wind and waves

there are some feelings that fill you up.

like when you are fighting with him

and you cant decide if you care

enough to listen to him

or if all you want to do is hit him

and smack him

and punch him as hard as you can,

knowing it isnt hurting him at all,

simply to relieve your pain

that you are feeling inside of you

at that moment.

like when you are reading a book

that hits home to you,

but you dont know how to explain it.

it stirs something up in your soul,

a desire and passion,

it digs its roots deep into your skin

and never lets go.

like when you finally realize

that you enjoy being alone

more than with other people.

when you realize that your own company

is better than any other you could ask for

and that while you might make some bad decisions,

you can forgive yourself for hurting you

easier than you can forgive other people.

feelings like this swell and blow you over like wind and waves.
