What Is Love?

What Is Love?

A Poem by Angel Bluestocking

Is it God given?
Yes, without doubt.

Is it as fragile as a flower a-bloom?
Or strong like the building blocks of what we call home?

Does it have a limit?
If yes, then for how long?
Or is it endless as we have read and believed?

Is it just a gift and simply held?
Or is it the light budding in the darkest hearts?

Is it as freely given?
Like the air we breathe?
Or the water we drink?

Or is it earned?
Earned and strive for.

Does Love differ in different aspects?
Or is it one and the same?

Love, as we believed, is a gift to be held and treasured.
It is a constant factor of our peace and happiness.
It exists even in a world like ours.
A world filled of unjust and deceit.

Well that's another to see Love as it is. I like it. The questions, the partial conclusions and the last stanza's own theory/idea.
