Hiccuping the words

Hiccuping the words

A Poem by Starrbitt
"

Love and hiccups. No relation in the dictionary.

"
I love you I'm hiccuping these words I start saying it , stuttering , then hold my breath Last time I said them , you threw them to the ground You spat in my face "Well , I don't love you." then you walked away That night , I slid down the wall and cried in the moon Now , I'm biting my tongue Yes , the cat got my tongue and I am the mouse , running away but on my hind legs , I am not afraid of you but your bitten words What is there to do when your hiccuping words?

short and expresive; well when I've not hiccuped in a long time, and if i do then i'll let you know. I like the idea, using hiccups to represent unexpressed emotion or words that aren't easy to say. Good work
