My life is mapped out on my soul like a tattoo

absolutely loved this tattoo.

Like a tattoo on flesh,
my life is mapped out on my soul.

Who is this girl?
Who is this version of myself that I have not known before?

Why do I question?
Why do I wonder?
Is it not what I was created to do?

In my mind are passing reflections of who I used to be.

Who is this girl?
I do not know her.

Do I like her?
Do I not like her?

Why do I question?
Why do I ponder?
Is it not what I was created to do?

My granddaughter is in to tattoos in a big way. I like your posted image. We, I find are different people at different times of our life. We may think it is mapped out, but we are influenced by people, places and experiences. We change. I am no longer the shallow minded twenty year old. I have lived and learned. That's not to say I didn't like her innocence, I did, but she is a shadow I have left. I hope I am progressing. Great write. We should all reflect on ourselves and the impact our footsteps are having :)

Superb writing.... I can relate so much on this. I live my life on a way for sometime and then ask....is this what I wanted from my life, or is this the way I was destined to live. This questioning is very important for moulding.... Thank you for sharing

A great piece of writing
I see life like a movie
We will one day sit bk
And watch the old black n white version
When we are lucky enough to grow old enough to sit in a nursing home and have nothing better to do
So often I feel my life is boring
But now that I can do my hobbies I’ve stopped working
I write crochet walk go away coast occas I learn piano I watch movies I listen to music 🎶 I’m better off not financially now but poorer and I’m more content
So is life boring yes some times but
I’m luckier than most in the respect that my stress from full time work gone
