Time is unforgiving. As she lays there in such peace. He knows she's there, somewhere.

She's beautiful in all aspects.
He admires her for more than one reason.
Her strength, far stronger than he ever was or will be. How easily she made him smile.
She's more than he deserved.

Her ability to love unconditionally is unmatched.
And her honesty, overwhelming yet pure.
Sadness as he realized he was what she loved the most.
Proved it time and time again.

He made a promise long ago; Till death do us part. Fear as he realizes death might make good on that promise.
She's so fragile now, but she will fight.
She wasn't one to give up. He knows she won't surrender so easily.

Into her ear he whispers those words that have been so hard to say, " I love you more than life itself. "
She opens her eyes and he knows.
Those beautiful eyes that hold the truth.
