Tears

Tears

A Poem by Abhilash Hegde

They trickled
one by one
incessantly
to fill
the abyss of pain.

I watched them
eye to eye
in hollow numbness
to fill
the empty pots
of self.

The saline drops
strayed
on my notepad
and the ink
ceased to
form letters.

The nib of
my life
dried in
the ink blots
on white paper
not knowing
if ever
it could pen again...

Tears filling the abyss of pain an impossibly can be possible only in an artist' s horizon. Very well crafted depth of pain balanced by magnanimity of tears.
You are exceptional, Abhilash.

Thank you Gorthi for the kind words. I'm glad to know you liked my poetry :)
I really like this poem- it reads smoothly, tells a beautiful hidden story and takes us into that microscope that sees things up close, then backs us away to the whole picture of the page again. Beautiful imagery and flow.
