My Truth

My Truth

A Poem by Emmy

He says he can't write
if what he's writing isn't truth.
He doesn't understand the purpose
of stanzas or breaking lines.
I have words scattered
most still in my mind
seldom ever written
each thought over thought.
I'm not sure if there's a point
often I use rhyme over reason.
Maybe he's right,
but whats a truth before you write?
What was once a thought?
I haven't written in ages,
we're both stressing over empty pages,
but here's one truth I can write.

I'm 19. My poems aren't very long. I write sporadically. Also I often leave reviews when I'm drunk, my apologies for any spelling/grammar errors. more..
