Thank God For You

Thank God For You

A Poem by Mbali
"

Mother's love

"

The doctors said no, either out or both of you will die

You said I let it grow and God will be near

In faith you prayed, never gave up for fear

All the means they tried, you never let go

You stood and cry, oh God take control

Mama in all that you do, I thank God for you

In nine months oh my, little girl came home

You will think now hey, what else to remain

Am done with the day, she will grow all the way

Eighteen she will be, live the house no more complains

To find out no way, she is here to stay

Turn around she is there, mom life is not fair

Come back baby girl, you still took care

Mama in all that you do, I thank God for you

Two babies of hers she brought, with love you took care

Mommy please let me stay, otherwise I have nowhere

With your hands wide open, baby girl this is your home

If she cries oh my dear, when she laughs you are there

She turns to you with no fear, hey mom I need you here

Without complain yes my dear, whatever you need am here

Lord my Mom I can’t compare, I thank God for you

In your prayers of the day, she is the first you mention

You remember her more than you, when you see everything good

As you walk in beauty land, she is the one you compare

As you rise early morning, she is the one you remember dearly

Your voice in the phone, she can feel the deep love

As you laugh to her jokes, she feels she is so blessed

Mama for the love you have for me, I thank God for you
