What do you do?

what do you do when the rug's been pulled from under your feet
when nudge turns to shove
what do you do when the world suddenly becomes hostile
and the smile that once filled you with trust brings dread
what do you do when the familiar roads you've trodden years upon years
suddenly lead to unknown doors and cold destinations
and fear gnaws at your heels all the way home
while chills grip your heart
what do you do when everything turns plastic it hurts
and wars are fought like underground springs-
quiet and far from the sun.
your bed is no longer warm
it fills you with nightmares and turns you out.....
tell me, what do you do???
