Terrified

I’m terrified.

There, I said it. That’s how I really feel.

Everything’s changing

-while the world stood still.

 

I’m terrified.

-of you

You are everything I hoped you would be

And somehow, I don’t know what to do.

 

You came when I least expect it.

You came and you turned my world upside down.

You came and made my life better.

Yet I fear that I may drown.

 

For I had known happiness

But not like what you had given me.

And I fear that one day, it’ll be gone .

And I’d have to set you free.

 

I had known pain and only pain for so long.

I never thought I’d ever break free from that prison.

But I did.

And I know I became a stronger person.

 

And yes, I am terrified.

Coz as strong as I am now,

I don’t want to go through it all again.

I just want to be safe, somehow.

 

I’m terrified.

-of my feelings

-of the future.

-of you.

 

But even if I’m terrified, I’d try to be brave enough

-brave enough to tell you, “I Love You”

That my life became so much better when you came.

That I’ll be forever thankful for the blessing, that’s you.
