Someday...

Someday...

A Poem by Aprille
"

Someday... not today...

"

You refused to listen

when my fainting voice was calling your name

I wished to shrink, to fell off on a brink

‘Cause you set my limit

And my fall was all that you think

You were the architect of my defeat

While my hope was fading slowly,

you were dancing happily

I was crying

You were smiling

I wanted to fly

But you kept on pulling me down

Now I’m free,

You want to be with me

When once you left me,

Why are you begging suddenly?

I’m just being true to what I feel

Scars never meant that wounds are already healed

But this time you can’t just hurt me

More than you know, I believe in me

So just tell me why you’re here suddenly

On what you did to me,when I was lost with uncertainties

I can’t teach my heart to forgive instantly

I can’t just forget,

But time can heal all sorts of pain

Someday, you’ll see me smile

Someday, you’ll hear me sing,

“I am your friend, please don’t pretend”

Right time is given to every single thing

Just accept your destiny

And say you’re sorry

Someday, you can walk again...with me.

Nice, , it's all like forgiveness, (the way I read it) this one's a rather choosy and makes the subject or object of the poem say, "pick me, pick me, I want to walk again with you!"

Thank you.
A lovely poem Olive ... an aching heart is not always bitter ... but seeks to reunite with its lost love.

Thanks Dayran. :)
Girlie this was just awesome.a grammatical error" to fall off".... just this or else this poem is so touching. Not everyone can not follow the golden rule of forgive and forget... The way you've described of freedom and flight. Made me want to jump. Because i've a thing for it... well done amiga ;) wonderfully written

The above lines were my favorite. We can forgive but never give trust again. Thank you for the excellent poem.

I think we have all been in this situation. You painted a very vivid picture.

Someday, but not today, when the pain is fresh -- a well written verse, with a tone of sadness and understanding, and finally, someday, forgiveness.

Beautiful. Very well written, and you got your emotions across very nicely. You did a good job with this one, and I've really enjoyed all of your poems that I've read. Thank you Olive
