V  Vacating the planet due to our greed
I  Is simply not a viable alternative.

Right on! It's RIDICULOUS that hemp is kept down by the man (it's illegal byproduct, too, in my opinion, but that's a different issue altogether). I admire your political convictions.

This one was rather interesting....a different approach as well..but a job well done...=0)...There are all kinds of alternatives out there..Though every time someone finds one..they disaapear or are wacked...It is dangerous to be inventive and different than the norm...you do have great points....=)

Thank you for writing this poem! Thank you also for the very informative links! I do believe that hemp plantages should be legalized and encouraged. When it comes to hemp, people seem to have a one track mind. Hemp should be legalized. By hemp I mean, naturally grown hemp and not chemically enhanced hemp products.
In some countries it is recognized that hemp can be useful treating a number of diseases such a MS. In my hometown, there used to be a shop that only sold clothing manufactured by using hemp fibres. And what to think about hemp rope and the hemp that still can be found in some brands of bird seeds. It sure made my canary more happy and a better singer. As a matter of fact, he kept on singing till his last day! He died at the very old canary age of 21!
It has been scientifically proven that naturally produced hemp products are less harmful than some legalized drugs! O.K. smoking is hazardous to your health, but not due to hemp, due to... tobacco!!!
If you want to prevent smoking, you can still bake a cake or brew some tea....

The fact that hemp is illegal is so insane. It is such a great resource and should be utilized. This is a wonderful poem that greatly illustrates the state of our politics and cavalier attitude toward nature and it's resources.

This post is not only interesting but extremely well put together. The point about hemp being used for energy is more than accurate but, is refuted by 'certain' sources who see the results of spewing chimneys as being the sole way of making a living - for themselves, but, needless to say NOT the planet or its inhabitants.

Ninety percent of what's grown in our world is here because our Creator, Nature, decreed that plants, Man should live in harmony, the 'two' nurturing the other as seen fit.

It's for us to ensure that plants cure or care. Mismanagement and/or mis-use is due to Mankind's greed or/and misconceived ideas .

I'm a garden designer who's a bit of a horticulturist in the process! Plus, I'm a minute part of Mankind!
