Thoughts of You

Thoughts of You

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

She has my heart and well knows it. A better man lives in me

"
Becky
Rebecca

When I'd converse with other women

I'd always think of you

Your words are much sweeter than theirs

and so much kinder too

When I'd look at other women

I'd wish your face be there

Blue eyes cased in that freckled hue

topped by sweet auburn hair

So when I'd think of other women

or dream away the day

I'd feel of you the summer breeze

that blew my heart away

Another visit to this poem and much enjoyed with it. You have a strong love for your wife, as is evident in every line in this short poem. I would say she is fortunate to have you too, who recognises her many qualities and respects and appreciate them too. Lovely romantic lines Tate. All the best.

Awesome tribute to your better half. That you compare her to "the anonymous others" out there in the world is what makes your expression unique, a nod to how some women do compare themselves to others & wonder how they stack up! Happy Easter (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

My husband has been partially blind now for 3 years, yet every day without fail, he still tells me how beautiful I am. This poem about your wife reminded me of the love that is always there between us in the most tangible way. Thank you!

My very best to you, Tate!
