Memory

Memory

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

What need have I for coins of Gold

"

Daughter Aris and I

The world has riches oh so rare

but shares them only with a few

What I love is worth so much more

         they are recollections of you

I need so few of this world's goods

having all your thoughts, ways and deeds

They lift my soul to the heavens

where I plant love's garden of seeds

Through your eyes I have seen wonders

so numerous I can't count

But oh such beauty none the less

before God I could not recount

What need have I for coins of gold

they can't buy what my eyes can see

My treasures lie within your smiles

stamped in the mint of memory

Dear Lord, this was so beautiful I swear it touched my soul. Every line is like a burst of overwhelming beauty the not only encourages but pushes and tugs at the reader to read on and crave more. Honestly, I was breathless by the end of it, my eyes were absorbed by each word as was the rest of being, reading this was an experience I wouldn't mind having a few hundred times more. Thank you for sharing.

This was in every way a most wonderful and perfect tribute to the joy and love we share with our children. True value comes from our soul not money. Well done as always!

There is treasure more than gold or silver...and free to those who see it...

You are so very right. How many men have tossed their treasures away, oblivious to their value in this universe and to their own eternal soul. This does not diminish the value of the treasure. I like how you can use simple words that swell up with meaning as they soak into the mind of the reader! A gift I do not posses. This was like shareing that perfect vanilla ice cream cone with your kids on a warm day. Thank you for the experience.

stamped in the mint of Memory

nicely done...

Did I mentioned how adorable your kids are? if not yet - THEY ARE.

Through your eyes I have seen wonders
so numerous I can't count
But oh such beauty none the less
before God I could not recount..

Very pure and full of love.. Envied much ~ Thanks for sharing.
