A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

Coming home from where I had been retracing steps from here to there Has brought my life full circle now bringing back the lessons I share

"

            tate and paige
Tate and his cousin Paige in the 50 ft swing we built

The water's edge rose to meet me

while either side the river lie

Across the bridge and path I ran

past tall fields of both wheat and rye

To the meadow where my home sat

there childhood dreams were born and died

I followed the path that life led

my favored angel at my side

Here were crafted my hopes and dreams

from hence I’d come to test my skill

To find the place where I belong

perhaps upon some distant hill

Coming home from where I had been

retracing  steps from here to there

Has brought my life full circle now

teaching me the lessons I share

I had set out to find my purpose

only my own life did I see

But finding love in coming home

my treasured soul had found all three

Dear Tate,

As always a beautiful and romantic piece. However this one is perhaps even more romantic than usual. And I agree. How happy a home filled with loved ones. Money can't buy this. Nothing can replace this. This is what completes us and gives us our sense of purpose and meaning.

A nice one, Tate. Very much enjoyed.

Best regards,

Rick

Excellent work again, and as one who shcildhood homes have been torn down due to progress or lack thereof, one can never truly go home again, but we are the sum total of those places from which we draw our roots. Well written, very clearly told

Hauntingly beautiful... You take a scene and set it to a blank piece of paper and soon you start to see just what it is you are searching for in this great place we call life. Sometimes we all forget..

The music just make it all the better.. Wow!

This is so beautiful, I can picture myself running through this path.

This is a beautiful expression of love... and of life's joys that surround us if we will be look out. The flow and form are wonderful, and the music adds the perfect touch... Makes me long even more for that place called home... Hope all is well in your world, my friend.

I love this poem, so far i am loving everything you write. Just wanted to mention how you have a song and a picture to give a visual and a sound to your words, wonderful. Your writing comes alive and i am easily placed "in" your poetry, like it was mine.
