A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

Coming home from where I had been retracing steps from here to there Has brought my life full circle now bringing back the lessons I share

"

            tate and paige
Tate and his cousin Paige in the 50 ft swing we built

The water's edge rose to meet me

while either side the river lie

Across the bridge and path I ran

past tall fields of both wheat and rye

To the meadow where my home sat

there childhood dreams were born and died

I followed the path that life led

my favored angel at my side

Here were crafted my hopes and dreams

from hence I’d come to test my skill

To find the place where I belong

perhaps upon some distant hill

Coming home from where I had been

retracing  steps from here to there

Has brought my life full circle now

teaching me the lessons I share

I had set out to find my purpose

only my own life did I see

But finding love in coming home

my treasured soul had found all three

Dear Tate,

As always a beautiful and romantic piece. However this one is perhaps even more romantic than usual. And I agree. How happy a home filled with loved ones. Money can't buy this. Nothing can replace this. This is what completes us and gives us our sense of purpose and meaning.

A nice one, Tate. Very much enjoyed.

Best regards,

Rick

This is really very beautifully done , a very refreshing and thoughtful piece of writing it is.
The plot is very warm and has been executed brilliantly.
Great work!

I feel the need to read this again and again...if only to let my toes play in the rain...nice work

Very nicely penned with a sense of personal reflection.. very peaceful and open. You had a great rhythm and flow here that showed a personal journey both in life and within your heart. There is no place like home and in the end you went full circle back to your roots from the sounds of this.. just a high sense of settling down in the end. Great job!

Beautiful poem - the images in the first stanza are particularly nice. Just one thing that I picked up on - the use of the word 'were' in the second line of the second stanza and the first line of the third stanza - to my knowledge it should be spelt 'where' in those lines.

Lovely work Tate.

Very beautiful Tate. Memories are the best especially when we rewalk through them with those we love.

The soundtrack just made this complete. I love the Platters. But your work was truly beautiful on it's own.
