The End

The End

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

He bore for her life's burdens Soothed the children of their tears Was the rock all others broke upon Left fond memory of his years

"

Biff Morgan

I fled on wings of starlit hue

across the golden sky

Up into the beyond I flew

watching my dreams go by

Shadows echoed love lost dreams

as memories of my past

Obscuring visions of my trust

all characters I knew last

The love that I so longed for

the beauty that I would need

Said live life as emotion

set forth by a holy creed

In battered rags of ancient might

my god sat on his throne

Viewing me in tortured sight

turning my sins to stone

My life passed by its silent way

asking of him just why

For now it's gone and left of me

I know what it's like to die

A poem like a canvas when we bring several different dabs of paint to express our grief. We point to the sky ... people ... the divine ... and a promise to ourselves not to forget the love. Put in place in such haphazardness that we can't help but feel your trembling ... at the very thought of life's unexpectedness ... its suddenness ... and the experience of immortality. Taking place as it does in the midst of our own endeavors in life ... it sometimes suggests a similar message for all of us.

Nicely done Huckleberry ... certainly one of your best ... in the way it showcases the responses of the passions in their natural qualities. Well done.

Your poems are always so much rhyming, a treat to read. The words speak of an enlightened soul. Always so much inspiring! Its like telling the experience and learnings from the person who has walked the road (forgive me if I relate this road to the Pilgrimage by Paulo Coelho)

Very beautiful. My mind kept swinging between "the end" as in death and "the End" as in Apocalypse. That has been on my mind a lot lately. Either way, being true to yourself is the only way to live.

Tate..your mind and thoughts run so deep...not everyone stops to view this world as you do..life holds no promises...it just is what we make it until that ending comes..God bless Kathie

I love the feel of this poem, it's sad yet comforting in it's own way coz somehow the way you wrote it, sounds and feels so mellow. it makes me want to reminisce old feelings and situations, but to reflect on it. the flow's so smooth, it reminds me somewhat of a warm cup of coffee. weird? but yeah that's my view ;) great job, i loved this poem :)

A wonderfully unique composure that settles deep in my brain where it fills my mind with various sequences of creativity. Your skills are well expressed in each line.
