Can any man say he is not beholding to Well from which life flows?

Passed away 4/20/ 2023

Coming to us no more but in dreams

those who passed on going their ways

While we who love them stay behind

to face a lifetime of empty days

In our dreams they cross the bridge

spanning breadth of time and space

There we meet again with them

to touch a well worn beloved face

Called to by the voice of St Peter

they can only stay a short while

But nothing better for the soul

than to walk and talk a mile

We the heirs of their precious dreams

go forth to face the human race

Being all they had hoped we would

sharing with them this living grace

Skipping along meter by meter

we dance to life's endless tune

Singing and chanting around the fire

beneath the gaze of the Harvest Moon

___________________________________

Passing the dreams of each generation

onto the next souls in our line

We carry with us their undying love

for a life sweet, gentle and divine

This speaks to me of our perception of time, where a friday afternoon math class can cover an eon, yet we can look back on our life and wonder where it all went. Time is our universal constant, but if there is a heaven, there will not be a clock in site. No time will have passed from their death until ours and they will just smile and shake their head at the importance we gave such silliness.
We can only hope that we will have a welcoming commitee of past faces when our time here ends.

Thank you I can’t say whether there is a heaven or not but I don’t miss what I don’t remember before I was born and I know I won’t care once I’m gone. All I care about all I worry about is how fondly remembered I will be in this life. For me beliefs are inconsequential to life. Better to worry About the here and now

Very true, and similar to my own sentiments. I have made a lot of friends the Scandinavian region through work and I am amazed that not only is that the prominent belief, but that it is taught in their education. It took them all of five seconds to say exactly what you did, and made me wonder why I had never seen it before.
Treating others as you would want treated, being there for friends and family and helping when you can would make a far better memorial than doing what you want and putting all you have on there being a next life. Isnt being remembered with a smile all we can work towards. That is how we live on.

If I manage rewarded in the future such as by going to heaven for Deeds he should do by conscience in this life there’s something wrong with him. I wrote a poem called my God I’m sure it’s here it’s sums up my ideas on the subject really well

Belated…but sincere condolences Tate… It's been a while since I've been here and just read your tribute to Kathy. I didn't know her, How could I, but she sounded divine and graceful.
This is a beautiful, sensitive and heartfelt write Tate about a loved one who made a difference…not only in your life but countless others. That's Aunt Kathy's legacy to us all. She'd be proud.
