Maintaining the wheels of your lawnmower

Maintaining the wheels of your lawnmower

A Story by Carl Rabideau
"

If your lawnmower has a lot of use, observe some oscillations in the front wheels.

For your wheels to move smoothly on the grass, we must keep them in good condition. If the mower's wheels are loose and worn, it can cause unnecessary consumption of energy, gas, electricity, and humans, which makes the mower increasingly difficult to push and steer. Like other routine maintenance of the lawnmower, it cannot ignore the wheels.

Maintaining your Lawnmower wheels

Fortunately, wheel maintenance is not a difficult task. We can find most of the mower's wheels and wheel bolts in most hardware stores. If the bolts are frozen and do not come off, use WD-40 or Liquid Wrench to help loosen the bolts, then use one or two wrenches to completely remove. Hold many attempts with a slot and a key, so it is about removing the key from the slot, and WD40 can also help you there.

Once you remove the tire from the bucket, be sure to clean it thoroughly to remove grass, dirt, and debris that may have accumulated and prevented the tire from moving freely. Sometimes, you may find that you only need to add some metal washers to the axle to correct the wobble in the tires. Otherwise, place the new mower wheels in the bucket and secure them in place. Be sure to test the wheels to make sure the mower moves easily on the lawn and can spin freely without wobbling.

Since the change in the wheels of your lawnmower is gradual, you will not notice any problems until it is too late. But if you spend a few minutes each month inspecting your lawn mower and doing routine maintenance, you can prevent major problems from occurring on your lawnmower's wheels.
