Love

Love

A Poem by Sports Girl

Gentle and sweet

Soft and kind

Silent yet loud

Timid but strong

Like the wind

and like the trees

Like the sun

and like the seas

Like the leaves that fall to the ground

Like the stars the shine in the sky

Hidden yet seen

Lost yet found

Alone but surrounded

Free yet trapped

Empty yet full

Bring happiness

but causing pain

Holding truths

but hiding lies

A stranger and a familiar

Creating fears

but bring hope

Acting as shields and safety nets

Catching those who fall

Supporting the weak

Whispering softly in our ears

Bring us warmth

and stopping the cold

Breaking through stone barriers

and healing old wounds

Wrapping us in its blanket

and watching from the shadows

There when called upon

Helping

Caring

Supporting

Protecting

Listening to silent pleas

Who…

Who is this stranger watching from afar
