Goddess Of The Night

Goddess Of The Night

A Chapter by Luna

Her hair is made of the stars,
Billowing out behind her as she slowly walks,
Longing for her lover
Who has been banished to the earth.
Her cries, the ocean waves
Crashing against a moonlit shore.
Her beauty is too much for any human to see.
She wanders through the night,
Lighting the night sky for her children.

Her children are the creatures of the night.
They come out as she does
And hide when the sun shines bright,
Bringing pain to their eyes and blinding them.
She promises them safety,
Pulling them to her midnight breast
And placing them in her hair,
Making them the stars when the time is right.

'..cries', '..waves', '..crashing', '..shore' ... very impressive! Extremely beautifully painted and signified!

Beautiful imagery. I get the impression that the Goddess of the Night is the moon. For some reason I always enjoy poems that personify the moon.

I loved your theme very imaginative.Which you present in frrr form poetic prose.
Read aloud it is not too smooth because it lacks metre. The essential ingredient of poetry.May I suggest you get a good source book and study the different forms of meter ivor
