Patience

Patience

A Chapter by Luna
"

4th attempt at rhyming.

"
Innocent girl with the braids in your hair,
Skipping through a field with your teddy bear.
You search for love but it is not there.
You cry and cry, saying it's not fair.

Innocent girl, one day you'll see.
You don't find love, love finds thee.
It can find you anywhere, just wait and see.
Be patient, my child, that is the key.

As you grow old, you'll understand
Innocence dies and hearts expand
Opening up room enough for you to stand.
Be patient and it'll turn out grand.

Wow! I could picture myself as a little girl skipping rope and chanting your poem. That is what poetry is supposed to do to readers... transport them to the places they cannot revisit otherwise...

Wow, I really like this one. It's short and to the point and the rhyming is excellent. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. You are a master. I humbly bow down in reverence.

Good job with this! The best thing about this is that you captured any "innocent girl's" desire to be loved. My favorite line was "You don't find love, love finds thee." Because that is so true! Love is all about patience and waiting.

Innocently Patient?

So true about being patient with love, and how time will tell all in it's own time. I see you like the innocence of life. How quickly we forget about it as adults. Your good at rhyming poetry. Continue and Bravo~
