Each Time

Each Time

A Poem by Aradhana

Whenever you teased me

I convinced myself

By saying

It was just a mere joke

Each time when you made fun of me

I told myself

We were friends

So it’s ok

Whenever you scolded me

I comforted myself

By saying

I am the one who should improve

Every time when you made promise and didn’t show up

I calmed myself

Saying you were busy

Every time when you flirted with other girls

I told myself

It was just for fun

Even when you broke my heart

I convinced my heart

By saying my love was unknown to you

But when you hurt my self respect

I was no longer able to hold on

And now when you are back to me

I am no longer the one

Whom I used to be

You made me like this

My blind love made me lame

So now keep all your claims

In your pocket

Cut the  crap

And get the hell out of here

And from my life…………..

Dear Aradhana,I understand your pain.It is very sad when such mental torture is inflicted upon an innocent girl who is fully dedicated to a particular man.
I must console you by saying that you are rather blessed now.Had such torments would come after more damages that could be intolerable.
Stay strong and stay happy.

Love the swift and cut-and-dried ending of saying this is enough....
There comes a point when we all must get strong, good write.

You are welcome, love.
There comes a turning point in every relationship. He attacked your self respect and when you realised that, he became dust. Way to go Aradhana. Shows strength of character.

Thank u so much for ur review 😇❤
It is staggering what we'll often tolerate to perpetrate even the delusion of love.
Fortunately, you finally came to your senses and stopped chasing a dead dream.
Nicely done, Aradhana!

Ya sure!! It'll be my pleasure 😊
i like the turn in this poem...sometimes we love so blindly and just don't get the signs that we are a romantic joke...but the speaker here not only catches on, but starts believing in herself, gets strong and gets rid of the real joke, him.
