compliment a stranger

help a person in need?

Did you stop and smell the flowers?

let the wind blow through your hair

listen to the rain tap on your windows?

look up at the sky

breath in the fresh air?

Did you put your phone down?

make eye contact

hear the thunder

did you feel it as it shook your core?

Have you eaten?

Did you cook?

How are you feeling?

What is that look?

You seem so far away

Do you want to sit in silence?

Did you put down what was heavy,

what happened yesterday?

Can I get you something?

hold your hand

scratch you back?

How can I help keep you calm through this,

how can I help you relax?

I just want to sit here.

I want to listen as you speak.

What is it that you dream of?

What is it that makes you feel weak?

Do you feel safe?

appreciated

valued in your space?

Where did that little grin come from?

Who put that smile on your face?

I hope I bring you comfort,

love

warmth

joy

and peace.

I want nothing more than you sitting here, 

just sitting here

with me.
