Mary Jane

Mary Jane

A Poem by Jerbear The Great

You keep me sane,

When the world pushes me to the brink of insanity

You keep me calm,

When the rage threatens to overwhelm me.

Oh Mary Jane,

Silence the whims of humanity,

Oh Mary Jane,

Silence the beast inside of me.

When you are with me,

All that can be heard is the merriment of my friends.

When you are with me,

The beast is not.

Without you Mary Jane,

Chaos reigns in my mind.

Without you Mary Jane,

The beast would break its chains and terrorize me.

Mary Jane,

You are the calm above the clamor.

Mary Jane,

You are the chains that keep me safe.

Mary Jane,

Keep me calm

Keep me safe
