For Your Love Only

For Your Love Only

A Poem by Auby Faith Evans
"

...all i wanted was to be loved in return..

"
I had learned to love,
only to be indulged,
in a deep sea of longing.

My heart is a naked w***e,
hunger for your touch,
I am a beggar,
a desperate lover.

You had me craving,
Like a drunkard,
who craved for,
the last drop of wine.

For your love only,
I will stand,
like a bleak tree,
hugged by the snow,
For eternity

Magnificent. The memoirs of love... so many tales to be told.

I enjoyed this poem. Written with a skilled and harden heart.
"My heart is a naked w***e,
hunger for your touch,
I am a beggar,
a desperate lover."
I like the above statements. Honest and direct. My kind of poetry. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I love the quiet desperation hidden within these words. And what fascinating metaphors you use!
