The great coward

The great coward

A Poem by audacicity

To thee I speak

 the great coward

Thee who has conquered great armies

Yet you tremble before your own soul

Unable to face it even for a second

You who tries the most absurd of deeds

Just to run away from yourself

Aren’t you tired of fleeing?

Are you deaf of the lessons of the past?

Haven’t you learned that you’ll never find peace?

Until you face yourself

Until you become one

with your darker brother

stop running, slow down

allow the broken one to teach you

unlock the lame one from the basement

and allow him to crawl to the sunlight

then will you find oasis in this desert

and built your soul a bunker
