opposites attract

opposites attract

A Poem by Ava Laveau 🥀
"

opposites attract

"

bright smiles behind
brown lips

strawberries taken by
chocolate grips

flowers, mine dead
yours red

hand holding, my right
your left

warm embraces smother me
like gravy

goodbye kisses, heart fogged
eyes rainy

bed full but still empty
heartful and still empty.

What I'm getting from this one is that someone got dumped. It seemed fine until "goodbye kisses," then went rapidly south. The last two lines reflect woundedness

I would say, opposites attract, but only for a short time.
Also, one is living in the dark surrounded by light.

Thank you Paul! You're hitting the nail quite close.
