A Poem by Avinash

On Futility of Violence and Hatred

Sitting Across my table
Are Two beautiful ladies
Smiling and sharing
food and thoughts
and caring for each other
One is a devout Muslim
and another a bubbly Sikh
Few generations back
Their forefathers
cut each other into pieces

Author's Note

Their interaction made me realize how futile the violence is.
