I want to be a monster.

  I want to grow purple

  fur and red fangs.

  I want to scare

  away my enemies

  with my fierce claws.

  I want to be

  the most powerful

  creature out there,

  I wanna be a monster.

  I can run around

  and hide under

  your bed.

  Scare you in 

  the middle of

  night with dread.

  And just when

  you think that 

  your Mommy chased me

  out, I will hide

  in your closet with

  the Boogey Man.

  We will laugh when

  you start the cry

  because you know

  we monsters never die.

  We are always alive

  just waiting to scare

  you.
