Because I love you.

I say I am okay.

I keep my real emotions

hidden away.

I smile and laugh with

my friends, even though

its all a lie. 

Inside, I am dying slowly.

Inside, I am ripping myself

apart every day.

On the inside, I am crying. 

I mentally abuse myself

to keep you safe.

I don't want to.

You don't want me to. 

But I do it because I

love you.

I can relate to this piece. I do the same things because I don't want people to think I'm depressed. You can tell sometimes that it is an act, but sometimes people need to pretend. I'm sorry you are going through this...but sometimes this is normal...for some people...thanks for sharing.
