Wept One too Many Times

Wept One too Many Times

A Poem by Jason Chavez
"

A boys life is much more difficult than one would care to know.

"
It was unexpected.
The existence I once bid farewell to
Stands before me.

What happens now?
Scared.
Frightened.
Fight the thoughts.

To compare her
To the rest;
It's not fair
It's not fair for me.

To be this afraid,
To be this scared,
To be this skeptical.

There's no time to think
What's here right now?
My vision shall not be clouded.
My heart will reach out once more.
All that's left is to pray...

That she wont be the one to let go.

Interesting perspective. I like the "it's not fair" section. It really makes you question what isn't fair. Very interesting punctuation use throughout...I read it through again, trying to follow the punctuation. Very good rhythmic device.
