A Poem by John Jackson (El Juero)
"

Musing on the act of dreaming

"
disjointed vignettes
in early morning slumber
the passionate nothingness
so nonsensical and disturbed
colors the coming day
within a subliminal world
of no dark, and no light
just every shade of gray

Imposprequel, but then that's life. Regards, N
Shades of grey, even when there is no dark and no light. Now, that's something to think about.. Dreams following you into the day, shaping thoughts and emotions. So true. I liked this very much, John. :)

Samuel Dickens recommended I come visit your work. I am so glad i did! I usually prefer short poetry. This is really good. I love the words you chose in this piece. It flows really well off my tongue.

I like how descriptive you are in this piece, this idea of gray upon waking up is the perfect way to describe how one feels upon realizing their dream is now over. Very strong piece, easy to relate to. Nice job.

accurate in your description of waking up while still dreaming, how haunting it feels upon waking up. how technicolor turns into the shades of gray in comparison. great job.
