The naked eye

The naked eye

A Story by Anna Lundgren
"

The beginning to a novel

"
She had not seen anything as yet of what lay before her. Of what lay before her she had no interest. All she had ever known was darkness and her imaginary conception of the real world with colourful shapes and figures created by herself. Being blind was her past and it would be her future. She sometimes dreamed of the azure light of the world that would come and penetrate her eyes and cut through her many layers of emptiness, nonsense and the dusty, false belief in life itself. It would cut through her self and open it up to the light of the world and put a stop to her ostracism of society endured for the eternity of an eye now and which had made her indifferent to the future of false innuendoes. Vision seemed simple, yet incomprehensible to Roya. Simple to open your eyes and perceive the colours, shapes and structures embracing the life conundrum, yet incomprehensible that she could open her eyes and see nothing except for a black panorama.
