Carefree Dove

an editing of a friend's poem, with his permission of course

I let you in my life,
wanting to keep you from strife.
Thinking everything was all right
but you threw me out--
your heart was too light.
You go with him
and i give my attention to a high limb.
i step on the chair
thinkin, "Hell life ain't fair."
I had no hope,
i put my head through the rope.
I go for the fall
and with that, I ended it all.
Now i'm floatin like a dove
ready to soar and be carefree.
This is all cause of love.
