Every Night

The Fox represents dark thoughts that haunt the narrator every night and eventually every moment of every day

Every night a Fox trots through the forest
Every night it goes by my window
Every night it’s trotting keeps me awake
Every night I try to scare it away
Every night it comes back

Everyday I wake up to the fox trotting through the forest
Everyday it creeps up behind me
Everyday it is in my sight
Everyday it slowly kills me
Everyday it never leaves
