Succubus

Succubus

A Poem by Father Mojo

She crawls in though my window
And she slips into my mind.
A goddess or a demon
Perfectly posing -- enshrined
In the night’s sable temple.

I am unable to move
As I lay upon my bed;
Paralyzed and motionless;
Helpless, not from fear and dread --
My body stilled by desire.

From somewhere deep inside me --
A hunger that must be fed
Grows ravenous within me.
My misgivings all are shed;
My soul begging her advance.

And with a sudden movement,
With eyes pitch black, yet burning,
Her form weaves through the darkness,
Her craving weds my yearning --
Hunter and prey become one.

She slithers up my body
Like a pure erotic wave.
Even before she bites me
I am her devoted slave,
Begging for more bewitchment.

Some have tried to rescue me,
But their appeals I ignore.
For each night she comes to me;
And each night I must implore
And beg her to own me more.

Once upon a time it seems --
There was something that was “me”;
But her eyes make me forget.
I know that my destiny
Is bound to her, and she to me...
