Poem In A Pocket

Words of truth kept in a safe place.

A poem in my pocket
tattered, torn and stained
words don't come easy when life's blamed.  
It's been wadded and retrieved from the trash
its hung in my pants many a night...
a rabbit's foot brings luck.

It's rode miles in difficult times
slipped in to touch to seek God's vine.
Ages of time took its toll
words smeared...it won't even fold.
Time erased written words of truth
a part of my voice spoken through roots.

The poem in my pocket...
speaks of things right and wrong
heartaches, deaths, loves once strong
declarations straight from my soul.
The poem in my pocket uttered truthful words
ending my story that's real and pure.  

A poem in my pocket...

Its very true that words need to be written from heart, but its really a very sad part when words don't easily come out and even if those do, those are full of the feelings which we feel at that point of time...
Usually, when we are living in an emotional situation, the poems that we write are as sad as the situation. It has happened many a times with me, especially when I was far away from my friend, I used to write about all the moments which I had shared with my friend...
Your poem really brought back the thoughts of my joyful days, spent with my friend...
I would like to request you to read and enjoy my writings too..

By the way, I love spending time writing but as I am a student of class 10th, high school, Odisha, India; I don't get enough time to write. So I take away the time of sleeping and write at night...
There is no more option for me and I can't give up my hobby of writing...
I love travelling with my diary, spending time with my friends, helping needed ones and above all, dreaming big for my wishes to come true...
