Trajectory

Trajectory

A Poem by barleygirl
"

dedicated to Annette my sister-friend . . .

"

Pre-dawn ponder by the winter-barren copse
waning crescent moon caressing the treetops
my fierce sister-friend done blistered his chops
my heart blows a gasket in never-ending props.

A bright evolving moon is a precious godsend
showing me a trajectory by which I transcend
certain missives haunt me and must be penned
cherished word kinship, you all help me mend.

Honoring the trajectory thrust upon me, I ride
gather each subtle nuance, my spirit to guide
release the reins and my compulsion to decide
miracles out of the blue form a joy landslide.

Thrust more and more into a vast mystery
lately I’m compelled to release my history
inside and outside, scenes so contradictory
yet I feel it strongly, I’ll find my next victory.

Your friendship blazes in me like a million suns
people who need people truly are the lucky ones
if I get distracted and forget to have some fun
stop by to give me a little pinch on the buns.

Hopefully this poem can be the antidote to the twin serious pieces I recently posted. I'm so ready to turn the page & I thank everyone who lovingly rallied to my defense! (I'm still shaking my head at that!)

Writing is a great outlet and having people read your words makes it all the more special. Others can commiserate with your thoughts, understand your emotions, make you feel part of a group hug. I am not sure what happened or what your serious posts were about, but I do know you are "real"....and I have always enjoyed your words. I'm pleased that some people came to your defense when it was necessary. Count me as someone on your team...always. Lydi**

Good to have close friends, Bgirl. Always is...always will be. Funny though to have friends you have never actually met, but share a common bond with...don't you think.
I have lost too many close friends over the years...I miss them and those times.

Take care friend.

Sorry you had to deal with that, Margie. There are always those kinds about, I'm afraid. Don't know what happened, but I do know you are a fantastic person and a very talented one also! I am proud to be your friend, and as Lydia said you can "count me as someone on your team...always! Well done, my friend!

The answer is a joyful yes it is an antedote. Not that I was regreting in any way your serious pieces. In my hippy days we used to say Peace and Fluff. This is peace and whimsical joy. And makes friends proud to know you.

Your humor is greasing my cogs (hooting out loud here!)
Love this Margie and am so deeply thankful for your kind words. I felt I had to call that person out for his viciousness to you. And I’m sure he’s done it to other innocent women here. Hope they find their voices to put him in his place. So cowardly. Such a miscreant. But it warms my heart that it brought us closer as sister-friends- how cool is that! So Yesss! We can be the “Sisters of the Horse With No Name” traveling together on the beautiful Ventura Highway to sunny poetic adventures-a Thelma and Louise, but in a good and positive way- enjoying life and its challenges to the fullest. I’ll take it!! Xo.

People in small worlds love to explode other people's happiness.. and most of us have an idea why, depending on personal feelings. Over eleven or so years in here, there has been in.fighting, back stabbing, spite and hatred.. yes even the latter. This was pretty well a writing site initially, but at times had chat room elements! However, each of us has found friends that near equal the closeness offline friendships share. We go by gut feelings.

You, dear petal are a very special woman - human being and more, not merely for your writing but your courage. I rather think we each have an idea how certain types can be - pathetic, ignorant, arrogant. Whereas, you don't have a grain of anything that could be called negative. If you do, tis probably lovable! Hugs and all.
