Whatchamacallit

Whatchamacallit

A Poem by barleygirl
"

photo: about recent cafe ruckus . . .

"

Was it two or twelve days ago?
the skinny, according to so-and-so
there were some aiming torpedoes
others dashing off frothy memos
the timid were inclined to tiptoe
avoiding any venom overflow
so sorry to lose weeping willow
despite enticing a turbulent flow
I won’t be dragged by undertow
I’ll be stargazing upon my patio
I’m a lounge chair aficionado
musing high-strung mistletoe
conjuring a long-ago dynamo
sipping sass in acrid espresso
he, a budding scribble van gogh
she, whatchamacallit so-and-so
this wandering stream I must blow
my muse is scheming what to bestow
no more littered lawns to mow
time to bare my bountiful bongos
surrender my pen to wild flows.

..lol..Well whatever happened I was probably too busy slurping a giant slushy and getting one of those cold headaches but I'm glad i missed the fire ..whatever it was,,is or isn't.. I imagine the staccato pace probably matched the bullets being fired of whatever i thankfully missed. "mistletoe"?? Simply no cure is there..lol. Thankfully and I'm just kidding Margie..a wonderful and light hearted response to whatever.

I'm in awe here! How do you do that mono-rhyme thing, really?! As a non-native English speaker, I almost pride myself on my vocab (lool) but you added on to that with 'aficianado'! I probably missed the torpedos (not regretting though ;P) but I love your account on how you stand unaffected by everything haha!
This write had me smiling :))

What an amazing state of mind you own Margie dear. You refuse to be dragged by undertow! Few poems back you explained how you manage your constant pains with sheer mental capacity... for you drama queens are of no matter of interest. If it hadn't been for the time difference, I would love to join you in your stargazing expeditions. Tudo de bom para você. Um beijo.

Yes Margie! Well-said as always. Let’s all keep calm and carry on because,
Stepping on toes,
Of friends and of foes,
Are simply ‘no-no’s’
Committed by those,
Who just cannot grow-
You know how that goes!

Humans an be petty about little things. To others an entertainment of a grand scale. I feel you are risinf above in this squabble that happened on this site. I love your satire in words and your brushing off things like it never happened. Life is short indeed to worry about those kind of people. You rise up to any occasion.

Wow! You are welcome muchly...
dear Margie... I can appreciate your vibrations as you ponder
the efforts of mankind... as the world has forgotten that life
began in a garden of sweet repose. The beauty of the weeping willow...
stargazing and sipping "sassafras tea... with a book on your knee.
The beauty of your mountainside with no lawns to mow. My lawn is
filled with dandelions and green clover abounds. Beautiful brown
bunnies eat Clover galore and enjoy the Carrots I leave here and there.
Life should be a garden with a wooden shelter and glassed openings to
bring in the light. truly wild and wonderful poetry, Pat
