Acorn Outburst

Acorn Outburst

A Poem by barleygirl
"

intermittent "ping!" drives me bonkers, I guess . . .

"

Acorn outburst is offhand: plink-plunk!
mocking and fomenting my merciless funk
got a powerful itch to get shitface drunk
but my dog stunk and gin dowsed the skunk.

Ain’t got the dough to guzzle myself blind
so I’m dreamin’ up wiles to tease my mind
forty frothy Millers with some oily pork rinds
then later, my quirky fixation to unwind.

Down in the holler swings a rope by the brook
a few toots of aerosol, my cranium to cook
found my fond folly in a website guidebook:
how to rock your socks way over the hook!

I know my boondoggle is a fool’s paradise
but I strap myself in to this convoluted device
leather vice squeeze extracts an exacting price
YOW! a busted limb burrowed by a ton of mice!

My pancake splat buried by a world of wiggles
earthquake mayhem of squirmy mouse jiggles
a staggering climax tops my original squiggles
as mouse tickles inject their serum of giggles.

Besides a mouse clusterfuck by which I’m cursed
I feel a distinct thudding like a tree cloudburst
got acorn bomb showers and a powerful thirst
but the fire ants I landed on must be the worst!

Hahaha. I need to decipher your mind and your carefree spirit. You take much needed liberty to make the language pliable and to melt and shape its iron( words). Lovely as usual which puts smiles on faces.

All wonderful. You are welcome...
It's amazing what your head conjures when you unleash the mind and give it free reign.
But hey, at least you weren't the fire ant, enjoying his day, doing fire anty things, maybe Fred the fire ant was telling a joke to Friday the fire ant, just getting to the punchline, and Bam, Friday will never know why the chicken crossed the road.

Okay, here's the sit-y-ation. I have squirrels living in my soffits. I have tried repellants...the only thing they repel is me...I put up plastic bottles filled with moth balls...they pull the bottles down and set them by the door. My dog chases them, but they just cling to the walls and chatter at him.

I guess they win...I lose...but they are kind of humorous.

Good write, Bgirl

The splatter of words, is a bit like the random droppings of... acorns lol... Clearly you don't need a bellyful of gin to come up with words like 'boondoggle' and 'clusterfuck' - you seem to just jiggle your bits and let your mind run riot. The result is a kind of verbal fuckfest - like those painters that stir up the paint and chuck it everywhere to create a random work of art - or a splatter!
