Oh Barely-There Crescent

Oh Barely-There Crescent

A Poem by barleygirl
"

inspired by Emmajoy . . .

"

Oh barely-there crescent
nibbling off rosy supermoon
in a vanishing repartee
lopsided thumbnail arc
curious peekaboo grin
winks through the boughs
as a pre-dawn subpoena
a rousing simmer
from under the covers
an emmajoy summons
please tell her now I see
laughter on a leash
her vision fetches a wannabe
on our carefree trajectory
follow a crescent so feathery
giggles are bound to be
legendary and lasting.

Your romantic side ar full display with the magical moon. You rouse many feelings with the imagery and soothe many aches of the nights. To embrace beauty is to vanish into it. Gorgeous.

One thing I've noticed since the world stopped flying, you can see the stars and that big cheddar cheese thing again. I never realised there were so many different names and shapes for the moon mind you. Amazing what you learn on Wc. So, were you and Emma on your brooms around the moon, or was this just the usual weekend get together.

Oh I like this it is beautiful, peaceful, and fully expressed. Superbly crafted

this crescent moon is a trigger paint for me - I was once out one very early morning and there she was the crescent moon - oh oh just a sliver - no-one else around - the moon and I spent time - and it can only be described as bliss

your description here is quite lively compared to the experience I had with her - i think that is a reflection of your exuberant self - that's a great thing :) x

So beautiful and ethereal dear Margie! You and Emmajoy are our lunar princesses, waxing poetic in your heavenly adventures. Lyrical, lighter than air, musical....love the "feathery giggles"! Yes! Haven't heard from you in a while so I'm guessing that you're busily writing another book. Take very good care of yourself my friend. Prayers, blessings, love, light, peace and joy sent to you always! xoxoxo

Margie... I miss you... I imagine you are on the Moon with your Book...
Happy for you and trust that you are well and safe. Hope you will be
back safe and sound... like Duck down on a chilly night on your mountain side. with love, Pat x

Laughing cos nobody told me about this!! How wonderfully wonderful to kk6 wondergv to think that scribbler me has actually inspired you and dear j. Thank you so very much. xx

But now, importantly,.. you've used your wonderful turns of phrase by giggling thoughts to create a poem with a heart of gold.. 'The moon nibbled, delicious its sweet silver patina .'
Finding the childishness women should always find and KEEP!

Love the following: lopsided thumbnail arc - curious peekaboo grin - winks through the boughs - as a pre-dawn subpoena '
Hope your world is better than best, dear you. Keep hopeful, cuddly and safely

This is wonderfully described, Margie.
Watching the crescent from the window at night or watching it for the balcony has a kind of spirit attached to it. I used to feel some kind feeling that I can't explain.

Getting inspired by Emma joy is another great things. She's always the best at what she knows how to do.
