Legend of Tularecito

Legend of Tularecito

A Poem by barleygirl
"

roughly reminiscent of a Steinbeck short story . . .

"

After the holidays, my a*s gordito      . . . (a little fat)
trotting my way to cheeks chiquito    . . . (a little smaller)
thirsting for a new bomb blanquito    . . . (wee honky boy)
who should hop up but Tularecito?     . . . (a little frog)

A big-headed baby not a bit bonito    . . . (good looking)
long frog legs and arms of mosquito   . . . (like a mosquito)
speckled verde, a daunting diablito    . . . (green little devil)
so he croaks: “Let’s go animalito!”     . . . (animalistic)

Never giving me an option to veto
he slices me up like a spicy sofrito      . . . (salsa)
his heat and jalapeño are igualito       . . . (equal)
he cranks it up to picante vivito.        . . . (spicy & alive)

Tularecito es bambino romántico     . . . (child of romance)
mentally tweaked y no simpatico     . . . (and not nice)
a tempting trickle of his biológico    . . . (biological)
renders lust siempre patológico.      . . . (forever pathological)

Tenía el español como mi segundo idioma y realmente lo disfruté y siempre asocio el idioma con estar tumbado en una playa de arena cálida y una guitarra española con un grupo de cantantes que le dan una serenata a una hermosa chica también en la playa.

dearest Margie... I love the Art... I appreciate the "nterpretations).
People I meet give me impressions of their inner personalities.
Variety is the Spice of Life. Some people make me smile and
laugh to myself.. wishing that they would be more carefree.
Some are busy as Bees and others saunter through life like a turtle.
My two Cats are so Curious... they have to inspect every new item
in their environment. They are forever licking their Paws after eating their food.
We people dance around every proposition, as if our life depended on each
encounter of strange phenomenon. Your mind, Margie, is an encyclopedia of
virtues that tickle my funny bone... and I am grateful to find harmony with
expressions of vulnerability. tenderly, Pat
