Abominable Limericks

Dave Brown tripped my limerick switch . . .

Deep in a leech-infested swatch
I stumbled on a spotted Sasquatch
spouting green slime
he croaked: it’s time
before busting a bite from my crotch.

A fierce female Yeti prowls Big Sur
her slop shanty is “Incense & Myrrh”
if you're down her way
along the coast highway
stop for bigfoot fricassee & reefer.

Here we got redwoods not hemlocks
our Sasquatch dons boxers, not socks
if my hip’s in a kink
he’ll pour me a drink
before he busts open his toolbox.

Wish I’d pursued a passing pongo
in deep woods fringing my mongo
with a backdrop sunset
an Abominable duet
blown away by the bulk of his bongo.

Just a poet with a limerick passion
an artform that’s way out of fashion
a glimpse of Sasquatch
is my chug of cheap scotch
possessed to pen a raunchy ration.

two great words that you don't hear very often - abominable and sasquatch. where's bigfoot when you need him? my uncle from the back woods of maine used to call certain people sasquatch. you've certainly traced his footsteps with lots of innuendo. you know i'm partial to this format of write so what's not to like ... :)

Back when I had TV, I used to be amazed at how many programs there are with floundering dipshits clambering thru the dark with only searchlight views of anything, mostly very little . . . and people are entertained by this? But lately I've warmed up to Sasquatch, since knowing DB, since he's part Sasquatch. He even wrote a poem in Sasquatch! Multi-lingual! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

One of the nicknames for Sasquatch, or Yeti, is "Abominable Snowman" . . . that's where that comes from. I almost got a bout of limerick today, but I averted it. This set of limericks, is pure fun, wit and a lovely dash of raunch! I could picture the Sasquatch and his big bong and all the hot action possibilities well lol. Finding a rhyme for 'sasquatch' is a brilliant effort in itself, almost as hard as finding said sasquatch! So very well done in that regard! The sasquatch is such an intriguing myth that I really do hope that it exists, though I guess if you looked around the cities hard enough you'll see enough abominable men as it is!
