Your presence still lingers...

I walk down these hallways,
bare feet,
for I still feel your footsteps
linger across the floor...

I touch these walls,
where you leaned,
every time I kissed you,
for I still feel your skin
brush against mine...

I lay on my empty bed,
and hug my pillow,
for I breathe in your scent,
that still lingers all around...

I still wear the shirt of mine,
that you wore,
every morning as your gown,
for it still feels like your embrace,
warm and complete...

I still smile every time I cry,
as its just you within every tear,
that rolls down my cheek,
for it still feels like your caress...

I still love you,
like I always did,
unconditional, irrevocable,
for it still is a reason,
for me to live...

love..well...i'm still learning...discovering...tryna figure out what it even is...to me love is'nt about togetherness...it's about separation and how you still manage to keep that lil flame alive...it is about sacrifices :) do read "and that's love" whenever you get the time...
