The crippled man

The crippled man

A Poem by beccagarcia

The Crippled Man

" He was crippled"

If only his body could move

He stares at his wife

She stares back

standing there quietly and not saying a word

she looks at him

tears begin to fall from her eyes

he looks down

he knows that he wont be here much longer to love her

then

one day

the women gets a call from her husband telling her to come home

she says, " Hunny I cant "

The man say, " Why not"

She says, " Because, god wants you home "

The women drives home, sees the man laying on the floor taking his last breath and the man says,

 " I love you

and

I hope you make it home soon to be with me "
